1. China automobile sales dropped 7.1% year over year in July
In July 2015, China automobile production and sales are 1.518 million and 1.503 million vehicles respectively, dropped 18% and 16.6% over last month, 11.8% and 7.1% year over year respectively.
New Energy Vehicles sales are increasing. 19,307 new energy vehicles were produced and 16,884 were sold in July.
Chinese brands passenger cars sales are increasing significantly. 494,200 Chinese brands passenger cars were sold in July, increased 5.1% year over year. The market share of Chinese brands is 39%, increased 4.3% year over year. source

3. FAW Toyota announced new production line in Tianjin !
Tianjin FAW Toyota Co., Ltd. announced that it will construct a new production line in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. The new production line with an annual capacity of roughly 100,000 units is planned to start production by mid-2018. Approximately 59 billion yen will be invested.
4. Chinese supplier YFS to open fuel-tank plant in Detroit
YFS Automotive Systems Inc, a Chinese-owned maker of automotive fuel tanks, will open a plant in Detroit in early 2017 that is expected to eventually employ 174 people. About $27 million will be invested.
YFS Automotive Systems is a tier-1 supplier of fuel tanks and urea systems for automotive companies. The company was established in 1997 as ABC Group Fuel Systems Inc and was purchased in 2014 by the Rongshi International Holding Co, a Chinese-owned automotive supplier.
5. Shanghai Volkswagen 600,000 engine project starts in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province
Shanghai Volkswagen started its second phase project in Yizheng Automobile Industrial Park, Yangzhou, Jiangsu province. Total investment for the second phase project will be 12 billion RMB.
The Yizheng base’s first phase project was started in October 2010, and started production in September 2012, with a capacity of assembly 300,000 vehicles per year.
6. Electric vehicles to be exempted of charges in parking and tollways in Beijing
According to Chinese newspapers, Electric vehicles will be exempted of charges in parking and toll ways in Beijing, an officer from Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology said the policy is being drafted and will be released soon to encourage low carbon life. The Beijing Municipal government has also promised to build more charging posts. Currently, 1700 charging posts are in service at 225 stations in the city.
